Published on Feb 11, 2019

This weekend we’ve come up with some ideas to have good time with friends and family. Our weekend offerings all add up to fun and enjoyment for all ages!

Chill out at a spa

Euro-Spa is offering a special event entitled Nuit Magique – a « magical night » that will start the weekend off on the right foot! Spa-goers have access to the full range of facilities – hydrotherapy baths, sauna, Turkish bath, cold water pools, a swimming pool and a relaxation room. Also included in this evening event is a table d’hôte dinner at the on-site bistro. Reservations required.

Friday, February 15 (4pm-9 :30pm). $55 (plus tax) per person. Centre de santé Euro-Spa, Saint-Ignace-de-Stanbridge

Flaming torches and chocolate!

Join your family or friends for a walk by the light of flaming torches in Mont Orford National Park. At the end of your outing, sit by the fire (it’s outside) and tuck into a fruity dessert made by chocolatier Chocolats Venden Eynden. Reservations required.

Friday, February 15 (7pm). Mont Orford National Park

An ice-fishing festival at Parc Découverte Nature

Gather up the family and head out for a day of ice fishing! There’s a ton of free activities – large-format board games and inflatable games, face painting, a presentation about endangered animals by the Granby Zoo and educational talks about the life cycle of fish. You can even sprinkle some seasoning on your catch and grill it on the BBQ (a fee applies).

Night skiing and cheese raclette

Mont Orford Ski Centre is offering an unusual evening activity – Soirée Savoyarde. The event kicks off with one or two runs down the alpine slopes, which are lit by flaming torches. At the bottom of the mountain, skiers can tuck into an all-you-can eat dinner of raclette from famed cheesemaker La Station de Compton. Reservations required!

Saturday, February 16 (5pm-10pm). Mont Orford Ski Centre

Loads of fun at a snowfest in Coaticook!

A ton of activities are on offer at the Parc de la gorge de Coaticook during the Fête des neiges – fat bike demonstrations and rides, boot hockey, a gourmet ‘village’ with local produce, inflatable games, sleigh rides, snowball fights, a show and fireworks! Also part of the snowfest are a couple of fat bike races – Enduro and La Creature.
