A weekend of celebrations is coming up. It’s the start of the spring break, heralding days of fun and relaxation. The following ideas will get you in the mood for enjoying some down time, away from your daily routine.


Ski until midnight at the Station touristique Baie-des-Sables

On Friday evening, the Baie-des-Sables ski resort is organizing a nuit blanche (« white night »). Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy zipping down one of its three illuminated downhill trails, all the way until midnight.

Join the celebrations at the Carnaval de Sherbrooke

Sherbrooke’s Carnival is offering a terrific line-up of attractions. The festivities kick off on Friday at 7:30pm, with the Soirée Retrouvailles Boustifaille fronted by musician Alain-François who will entertain the audience by recalling the great years of the La Boustifaille Brewery.

On Saturday and Sunday there will be lots of fun winter activities – zip lining, canopy walking, fat biking, mini-train rides, a petting farm, tightrope walking, sleigh rides and much, much more! And don’t miss the evening ‘village’ where you can enjoy live music, an outdoor bar and fireworks.

Soirée Retrouvailles Boustifaille : Friday, March 1, starting at 7 :30pm | Carnaval de jour : Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 (10am-5pm) | Access to the site is free but you need to buy a pass in order to take part in the activities.


Kill yourself laughing during Drôle de Samedi at Moulin 7

You’ll split your sides during the Drôle de Samedi (« Funny Saturday ») evening at the Moulin 7 microbrewery in Asbestos. Three up and coming comedians are taking to the stage - Marylène Gendron, Daphné Létourneau and Christine Morency. You can have dinner before the show, washed down with one of the brewery’s excellent beers!

Spend a family day at Camping Aventure Mégantic

Camping Aventure Mégantic is planning a great family day with activities such as tubing (a tractor pulls you back up to the top of the run) from 1pm-4pm, skating along a 1.5-km ice rink in the woods and snowshoeing. By the way, the skating rink is lit up in the evening!
