Breathtaking decors, bicycle paths for any mood, countless gourmet halts, a restful beach, an adrenaline-charged national park, a warm and charming inn at the end of the day … you’ll find all this and more, in and around Magog.

The region is amazing. A small city with 25,000 citizens, Magog follows the beat of its countless visitors, many being outdoor and cycling adepts. We never ponder why this is so for very long, as we spot Mount Orford in the background along with Lake Memphremagog and the dozens of kilometres of cycling trails weaving their way through this fabulous landscape.

Kilometre After Kilometre of Pure Bliss!

The Montagnarde, a trail covering 57 km, traced on a segment of the Route Verte, attracts many cyclists every year. It passes by a section of Magog and then heads towards Orford, Eastman and South Stukely. You’ll find it on an easily accessible route for almost any type of calves, from the weaker and average strength, to the hard as a rock ones!

Also, if on that morning, you really feel up to it, you won’t be able to resist heading out a bit further, to Saint-Benoit-du-Lac, some 25 km down the road. As you travel on the Chemin des Pères, you’ll be taken aback by the landscape; it’s simply magnificent. You could pause for a while at the Abbey, then head back, or ride through Bolton and Eastman, before returning to Magog.

Looking for another option? How about Mount Orford National Park, at only about ten kilometres from Magog. you could easily spend the day there, bask in the sun or take advantage of the many kilometres of mountain bike trails; Why not?

Or, yet again, you could just stay in Magog, browse around town and stop at Pointe Merry for a swim in the lake. You’ll also find plenty of places where you can satisfy your craving for fine gourmet food in the city of Magog with all its restaurants and area producers.

Coming Home Again…

And, do you know what you’ll REALLY be happy to find here? A place where you’ll feel truly at home, located in town at a walking distance from all the commodities you might need (restaurants, stores, bars, cafés…).
