It’s cider sampling week!

April 27-May 5 has been designated as the Semaine du cidre (« Cider Week ») and there will be a number of tastings and activities themed around the delicious apple drink, brewed right here in Quebec. Participating establishments include La Cidrerie Milton, Edgar Hyperlodge, the Dépanneur Au vent du Nord and the Microbrasserie La Memphré. For details check here.

Coffee and sandwich take-out at the Plaisir Gourmand Restaurant

In addition to its evening menu, since mid-April, the Plaisir Gourmand Restaurant has been offering coffee and sandwich take-outs featuring local products. Now that spring has arrived, why not plan a picnic with your family or friends?

An introduction to culture at the Festival Petits Bonheurs Sherbrooke

This festival is designed for small fry (aged six and under) accompanied by their parents and it introduces them to the world of culture, stimulating their imagination through a series of shows, workshops, movies and storytelling. For the full program, check online.

A new exhibition at the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke

Le Musée des beaux-arts, Sherbrooke’s Fine Arts Museum, has launched an exhibition entitled SPACE 9 – Salon du printemps des artistes des Cantons-de-l’Est. The show features the work and artistic approach of a dozen artists from around the Eastern Townships - an ideal opportunity for art lovers to get together and welcome the spring!
