What to do this weekend – May 24-26

This weekend, go shopping in Sherbrooke, attend a couple of festivals – Festival Saint- Zénon-de-Piopolis and Masqu’alors! – explore the Coaticook Valley and enjoy some indoor fun as well!

Shop till you drop!


Celebrate the arrival of spring with some retail therapy! A number of stores in downtown Sherbrooke are staging the fourth edition of Shoppez Sherbrooke and participating merchants will be offering activities and special deals – cocktails and food tastings, gifts (with purchases), discounts and more. A festive shopping experience!

Enjoy concerts in a church with great acoustics!


This Saturday sees the start of the Festival Saint- Zénon-de-Piopolis – a series of musical concerts that run from May to December in the picturesque village of Piopolis. The concerts are held in the church and in the intimate setting of Café de Pio. Award-winning singer Isabelle Boulay will be the first artist on stage at the church, which is known for its great acoustics.

Discover the Coaticook Valley


For the second year in a row, the Coaticook Valley is inviting visitors to discover this scenic corner of the Townships. Tourist enterprises that are opening their doors to visitors (free of charge) include Miel Pur Délice (an apiary and honey maker), the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, Ferme les Broussailles (a goat farm where you can buy organic cheeses) and the Verger Gros Pierre orchard. Visitors can also have the opportunity to win a grand prize worth $1,000!

Head for Festival Masqu’alors!


Masqu’alors!, Quebec’s international festival themed around the role of masks around the globe, opens on Thursday, May 23 (until May 26). This is the 10th edition of the festival and a slew of activities awaits attendees – live shows, round tables, exhibitions, workshops and conferences. Don’t miss this unique, festive event!
