What to do this weekend – June 14-16

On the menu this weekend – a country and western dance, a sprint along a scenic trail, a stroll with an alpaca, and a barbecued meal with singing and dancing to the lively sounds of folk-punk … adding up to a weekend of fun activities in the Townships!

The Ayer’s Cliff Rodeo is THE premier country and western event in the Eastern Townships – music, local products, rodeo acts, dance lessons and entertainment for small fry at the Place de la Famille. Don your Stetson and head for Ayer’s Cliff! As in previous years, you’ll get a shot at choosing the « King of poutine ».

The XTRAIL race in Sutton


Sports aficionados will love the challenge of Mont Sutton’s XTRAIL race! It take place this Saturday in the Parc d’environnement naturel de Sutton. Give give your body a good workout while enjoying the natural environment and the spectacular surroundings of the park.

The Verger Champêtre, a family farm, is welcoming visitors to its animal enclosures this Saturday. You’ll be able to get up close and personal with the cute creatures that live here - fallow deer, alpacas, miniature horses, sheep and goats. One of the highlights is to take a stroll with an alpaca or a miniature horse!

The La Bardasse folk-punk Festival, which runs this Saturday, will have you singing at the top of your lungs! On-site attractions include microbrewery beers, local products and entertainers such as Mononc Serge et Pépé et sa guitare – a singing duo with double bass and a guitar.
