Mascotto, La Fête des Mascottes – Granby’s popular Mascot Festival – is the highlight of next weekend’s activities. Now in its 34th year, the festival runs from July 17-20 and it promises to be the best one ever!
This 34th edition offers even more games, more entertainment and more fun for the entire family than ever before and it runs Wednesday to Saturday, from 10am-9pm in downtown Granby.
On the program – 50 costumed characters, as well as the famous parade, singers, dancers, entertainers, a craft workshop, jumpaï (trampolining), a mechanical bull, a play area with inflatable games, a mini-train, a sidewalk sale (with more than 60 merchants) and a brand new gourmet food zone!
For the complete lineup of attractions, including some of the new features of the ‘Mascoto’ bracelet (it is your ‘passport’ to the numerous activities), visit fetedesmascottes.ca
If you go to Mascoto, we recommend that you wear a hat, so you don’t frighten the mascots!
While you’re visiting Mascoto – La Fête des Mascottes, wander through Granby’s downtown area and have fun discovering no fewer than 14 virtual animals, courtesy of the Granby est zoo mobile app. The kids will love these life-size creatures!
In addition to being able to take a selfie with the animals, the mobile app allows you to search for a hidden animal that will become animated once you’re back in your own house! To find it, you have to participate in a quiz by answering questions (to test what you’ve learned) about eight of the 14 animals (you can choose which eight) and if you answer them correctly, the hidden animal will reveal itself and be ready to spring into life!
Download the free mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play. For further information, visit granbyestzoo.com
