During the grape harvesting season, many vineyards of the region invite visitors to participate in all kinds of activities. However, there is only one who offers you to experience a champenoise-style grape harvesting!

Le Cep d’Argent vineyard is indeed the only vineyard of the Eastern Townships to practise and to have its visitors experience the traditional champenoise method. We must say that the owners, the Scieurs brothers, are 6th generation winemakers, originally from the Champagne region of France. They know more than anyone else how to transmit their passion!

Unique in Quebec

Le Cep d’Argent produces the only sparkling wine in Quebec as they do in Champagne. The vineyard has developed a truly interesting and free of charge interpretation centre for the champenoise method.

Besides their sparkling, they also produce some other very delicious elixirs! White, rosé, red, fortified and mild wines… With over one hundred awards the vineyard has received, there’s no doubting their quality!

At any time, you can head out to the Cep d’Argent, take advantage of their guided tours and tastings, but you’ll especially appreciate going during the grape harvesting period. When you opt for their Les vendanges à la champenoise package, you’ll be welcomed by the owners, you’ll participate in the grape harvesting, you’ll enjoy a hearty lunch and a VIP tour of the site; plus, you’ll learn some very practical notions about the art of sabrage! In short, you’ll truly experience a special moment here!

An Exceptional Decor

Le Cep d’Argent, planted 60,000 grapevines in its 114-acre vineyard. It’s also a magnificent site in the Magog-Orford region, overlooking the Petit lac Magog and offering an exceptional view. You’re invited to pause from your daily routine as you come and savour the moment … with all the connotations implied!
