You’re lacking inspiration to fill your free time during this month of September? We have some suggestions for you and even more so, the activities we’re proposing are all free! We just love this!
Saturday, September 7, access to all the National Parks of Quebec will be free. Take advantage of this great opportunity to go on an outing in the middle of nature in one of the Eastern Townships’ four National Parks. Discover the natural treasures of the region and participate in some of the many activities organized especially on this day.
Sunday, September 8 September from 10 :00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., go and spend some time on a farm! More than a dozen Township farms will welcome you for free. Among them, Wow Freli Alpagas, Miel pur délice and the Ferme Renaissance. On the program: guided visits, product tastings, onsite entertainment and a lot of fun!
Did you know that you can take an interactive tour of Sherbrooke’s murals? Thanks to the Muralis app, the city’s murals come alive. Explore a multitude of animations and interactive capsules as you (re) discover the trompe-l’œil frescoes that have transformed Sherbrooke into a true open-sky art gallery! You can also add the Art et Mosaïques tour to your outing. This circuit takes you across the city as it showcases mosaicultures and urban art.
In September, the temperature is generally cooler and more pleasant for practising sports. Take advantage of this time to go out on one of the many bike paths or on one of our cycling routes. This year’s edition of Journées de la Culture is scheduled for the last weekend of September (27-29), with special events happening throughout the province. In the Eastern Townships, don’t miss the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Musée de la Nature et des Sciences de Sherbrooke, where you’ll discover thousands of insects, mammals and other artefacts from the museum’s collection.
