Vous n’êtes pas du genre à prévoir des semaines à l’avance? Aucun problème, on a pensé à vous. Quels que soient vos goûts, vous tomberez sûrement sous le charme de l’une ou l’autre de nos suggestions.
Littérature et nature, pour une 15e année
Cette année, les Correspondances d’Eastman fêtent leur 15e anniversaire sous le thème des Archipels francophones. Avec Dany Laferrière comme porte-parole, une pléiade d’artistes invités d’un peu partout (David Goudreault, Michel Rabagliati, Alina Dumitrescu, France Daigle, Yves Beauchemin, Rodney Saint-Éloi, etc.), des spectacles, de l’animation pour les petits et pour les ados, de magnifiques jardins pour aller écrire et lire, etc., la 15e édition de cet événement qui allie si bien la nature et les mots sera assurément un succès… de A à Z.
Baigner dans les traditions
La 20e édition du Festival des Traditions du Monde, au parc Quintal, promet d’en être une particulièrement mémorable. Avec ses quelque 600 artistes et ses 200 spectacles, ateliers et animations, ces cinq journées de festivités multiculturelles feront le bonheur de tous, y compris des enfants. Trois chapiteaux thématiques, le nouvel Espace Orient, le coin gastronomique et ses 17 restaurants de partout dans le monde, son espace de jeux pour les plus petits, ses nombreux kiosques remplis de belles découvertes, toutes ses musiques et ses danses d’ici et d’ailleurs; tout ça forme une belle courtepointe de cultures à découvrir.
Se mettre sous une pluie… d’étoiles
Les Perséides n’auront plus de secrets pour vous si vous vous rendez au parc national du Lac-Mégantic entre le 10 au 14 août, à l’ASTROLab, qui se trouve au pied de la montagne, ou alors à l’Observatoire, tout en haut. Plusieurs activités sont prévues pour ces Nuits des perséides dont vous vous souviendrez longtemps…
S’immerger dans la fête
Du 10 au 13 août, la Traversée internationale du Lac-Mégantic promet des journées fort animées. Par les différentes compétitions, dont la Traversée bien entendu, mais également grâce aux nombreuses activités qui auront lieu sur le site, dont les différents spectacles. À noter : dimanche, le spectacle « Rock The King » avec Martin Fontaine et les Porn Flakes clôturera l’événement sous une note rock n’roll.
Participer à l’une des plus importantes expositions agricoles de la région!
Du 9 au 13 août, prenez part à l'Exposition agricole de Bedford dont les premiers balbutiements remontent à 1824! Un événement qui mériterait d’être classé patrimoine culturel historique! Compétition équestre, course de tracteurs, expositions, spectacles, produits gourmands locaux, manèges, etc. La dernière journée, dimanche, fera honneur aux enfants avec une foule d’activités variées, comme le tir de tracteurs à pédale et la visite de membres de la Pat’ Patrouille!
Aller manger au vignoble
Vendredi, à partir de 16 heures, dans des stations extérieures spécialement aménagées, un menu « de rue » des plus alléchant au Vignoble du Ruisseau : maïs grillés, saucisses fumées, tacos au thon, effiloché de porc à l’érable, etc. L’événement « Cuisine de rue » mérite assurément un arrêt dans ce vignoble, situé à Dunham.
