Historical Exhibits | Townships Traditional Crafts

Jan 1, 2024 ~ Dec 31, 2025

- Jump Back 100 Years While Visiting Uplands!
Enter the warm and elegant ambience of a distinguished home from the past. Each room has a unique charm, thanks to the many furnishings and antiques belonging to the Lennoxville-Ascot Historical and Museum Society. This impressive local collection of decorative art includes furniture, textiles, dishes and various everyday objects. Several works of Canadian, American and European artists dating from the 18th century to the end of the 1950s are also on display.

- Temporary Exhibit: Townships Traditional Crafts
This exhibit highlights the diversity of handicrafts produced in our area, going back to pioneer days, and including the work of indigenous inhabitants. Tools were also often hand-crafted. Many of these artefacts have survived a century or longer. Some crafts that were originally essential for everyday life have developed into hobbies nowadays. Modern tools and equipment can produce objects more easily and rapidly, but people still enjoy creating unique ones by hand.
