Et si les couleurs avaient disparu? Et si le monde se présentait tout à coup comme une immense feuille blanche?
« Colorier, colorer, couleurer » fait le récit de l’histoire « Tirer ses ficelles », de l’auteure Diane Longpré. Abordant des sujets tels que l’identité, la différence et l’affirmation de soi, le visiteur est appelé à suivre le personnage principal à travers son parcours, se déroulant dans un petit village, situé au bout du monde. Tout au long de l’histoire, le personnage pose des gestes afin de remettre de la couleur dans le paysage qui, après plusieurs jours de pluie, a disparu.
En parcourant l’exposition, le visiteur est appelé à remettre de la couleur dans le paysage de différentes façons, et ce, à travers les œuvres participatives de Geneviève Baril, Martin Brousseau, Cinétic, Valérie Morrissette et Ève Tellier-Bédard. Une vidéo d’animation, réalisée par l’artiste Suzie Bergeron, est aussi présentée en introduction à l’exposition.
Le visiteur apporte la couleur par son mouvement, son implication et certaines manipulations, ce qui permet de prendre conscience de la réalité et de la reproduire ou de la changer, selon son imagination et ses actions. Les œuvres, dont certaines avec un aspect numérique, cohabitent entre elles et suggèrent chacune une évocation de la nature reconnaissable par l’enfant (des fleurs, des feuilles, une maison, un jardin, le coucher de soleil et la nuit). Les éléments mis en place dès le départ rendent l’exposition accessible, intrigante et suggèrent un espace exploratoire. Une publication, illustrée par l’artiste trifluvienne Frédérique Guichard, est également mise à la disponibilité des visiteurs.
