Du 23 juillet au 23 août 2026. - Loose Canine Cette série de peintures construites est une exploration de l’idée de Vénus, déesse romaine de l’amour, de la beauté, du désir et de la fertilité. Née de l’écume de la mer lorsque les organes génitaux tranchés d’Uranus furent jetés dans l’océan, elle incarne la création primordiale et la puissance sensuelle. Interprétée à travers le prisme du temps, Vénus devient un substitut poétique à la complexité évolutive de la vie, un phare de l’esthétique et de l’art de l’adaptation, de l’épanouissement de la vie depuis ses origines primordiales. - Daniel Laflamme La sculpture La Louve réalisée à partir de matériaux récupérés tels que le papier et le carton, nous invite à une réflexion profonde sur la relation complexe entre l’humain et la nature. Évoquant à la fois le mythe antique de la louve nourrissant Rémus et Romulus et un souvenir personnel d’enfance, l’oeuvre fait le lien entre culture, nature et environnement. La louve, majestueuse et protectrice, symbolise la nature sauvage, tandis que les trois petits personnages sur son dos, habillés de matériaux naturels comme des feuilles et des branches, représentent l’humain en harmonie avec son environnement. Les matériaux utilisés, issus du recyclage, soulignent la préoccupation écologique de l’artiste, qui interroge la façon dont nous consommons et traitons notre planète. Cette oeuvre invite à une prise de conscience sur l’impact de l’homme sur la nature et nous rappelle la fragilité de l’équilibre entre les deux. Le chien, fidèle compagnon, évoque à la fois la simplicité d’une enfance aimée et la puissance symbolique de la relation humain-animal. - Hannah Cohen Ce projet rétrospectif inclura plusieurs oeuvres réalisées avec les différents matériaux que j’ai explorés au fil du temps. L’exposition ne suivra pas un ordre chronologique, mais mettra plutôt en lumière les transformations survenues au cours des 28 dernières années. L’un des objectifs principaux de ce projet est d’offrir au public l’occasion de savourer la fantaisie, la légèreté et l’imaginaire qui émanent de ce travail. Vernissage : le dimanche 26 juillet à 14h.
