This summer, the Eastern Townships are inviting you to explore a myriad of flavours! The following itinerary proposes a cultural, foodie getaway taking you from Sherbrooke to Granby to offer you different opportunities to discover our terroir, public works of art, great addresses and the friendly ambiance of our cities.

Day 1 – Artistic and Great Food Experiences in Sherbrooke

Start the day exploring Sherbrooke’s downtown sector by way of the Sherbrooke Murals Circuit, a true open-air art gallery. Two routes are available, both accompanied by interactive tools and even a quiz, a podcast and the opportunity of meeting a member of the city’s Greeters to help you better understand our local history and culture.

You can then pause a while at the microbrewery Le Boq to savour their craft beer or a bistro dish prepared with regional ingredients. Continue your walk by heading to the promenade du Lac-des-Nations, a 3.5 km path right in the heart of the city. If you’re looking for an original activity, we suggest you try the Sherb-Histoire in a kayak adventure, a commented excursion on the Magog River. You can relax for a while as you discover some amazing facts about our heritage.

In the evening treat your taste to a seven-course tasting menu at restaurant Baumann showcasing our terroir products. End the day with a stay at the Grand Times Hotel, where you can choose a room overlooking the lake and unwind in the hotel’s elegant Cosy Lounge.

Day 2 – Culture, Craft Beer and Wood Burning Fire in Granby

Start the day off with a fun bike ride on the Boucle Artria bike path in Granby and explore its open sky museum. This very special route showcases more than 60 monumental sculptures by artists from 17 countries.

Then, visit the microbrewery Robin-Bière Naturelle in Waterloo. Learn more about their craft beers all developed using local ingredients. By taking a guided tour, with or without tastings, you’ll delve into their sustainable brewing environment.

End your getaway in grand style at Maison Boire, a not-to-be-missed stop in Granby. This eco-responsible restaurant proposes a cuisine prepared on a wood-burning stove, combining authenticity, creativity and seasonal products to offer you a simply unforgettable gastronomic experience.
