For many of us, this is a long weekend. Take advantage of the holiday to explore our beautiful region – the Eastern Townships! Here are some suggestions for things to see and do…
Starting May 22 (until December 21, 2021), the exterior walls of a number of buildings in Dunham and Frelighsburg will be hung with large-format photographs depicting the visual arts, local landscapes and the built heritage of these two picturesque villages. Organized by the Adélard Arts Centre, this exhibition - L’objet de la nature – can be explored by bike or on foot.
Set off from either Brasserie Dunham, a microbrewery on Dunham’s rue Principale (Main Street) or the Adélard Arts Centre in Frelighsburg.
Now that the spring thaw is over, our trails have reopened. Pull on those hiking boots and explore some new circuits! You’ll find suggestions in our Hiking section. Don’t forget, to access certain venues, you may be required to book a reservation online.
Due to the pandemic, this year, Sherbrooke’s Festival des harmonies is offering music lovers a hybrid version of the popular music fest. Some events will be online. Others are live. The virtual ones (there will be 60 in all) will feature more than 2,000 musicians and 18 performer-led workshops. There will be two live shows at Sherbrooke University’s cultural centre (May 20 and 21). Watch the performances in real time or at your leisure on the Festival’s video platform. Either way, the wonderful music will transport you into a different world….
This Friday, Bromont, montagne d’expériences, opens its mountain bike trails, accessible by ski lift to all their season pass holders. 50 kilometres - designed for all levels of mountain bike enthusiasts!
2 metres, 20 seconds, a face covering... You know the drill. This summer, we all need to do our part to make this vacation season both enjoyable and responsible.
(In fact, I can even stand apart.)
(Anyways in #touristmode, I'm in no hurry!)
(Ring ahead to avoid the crowd... it’s that simple!)
(I promise... this is no time to joke around.)
Together - For a safe vacation - Let’s be responsible.
