What to do this weekend – June 9 to 11

Published on Jun 6, 2023

This weekend, there’s something for almost everyone! On offer is a dazzling array of things to see and do – long-distance bike rides, lots of local fare, a morning of pampering at a spa along with other members of your family. The list goes on…..To help you choose, take a look at the following ideas:

Test your pedal power on some challenging bike routes!

Are you the kind of cyclist who doesn’t balk at having to pedal up hills over long distances? If so, you’ll enjoy these seven circuits, which, while they might be challenging, also offer spectacular views. The Traverse des Townships, Doyenne des vignes, Lac Mégantic to Mont Mégantic, the Grande Boucle de la Vallée, Caméléon Mystic, D’un quai à l’autre (from one jetty to the next) and the Boucle du Mont Ham – all of them are picturesque, panoramic routes. It’ll be difficult to decide which of the circuits you should follow!

Tantalize your taste buds in Sherbrooke

A must-attend, festive event for foodies, Sherbrooke t’en bouche un coin takes place over this weekend! Tastings, activities, gourmet dinners and vegetarian picnics. Local chefs and food producers will introduce you to the best of the best cuisine, Eastern Townships style!

Sample local and regional products

The region’s farmers markets and public markets have now opened for the season and this weekend offers the ideal opportunity to smell, taste and sample the bounty of the land! Fill up a basket (or two!) of fresh local and regional produce at the markets in Lennoxville, Magog, Frelighsburg, Granby (and surroundings), Mansonville, Racine and Val-des-Sources.

The Compton Evening Market and the Farnham Public Market will open NEXT weekend.

A pampering Sunday morning en famille

This Sunday, the Strøm Spa nordique invites you to enjoy a “Børn” morning with your family. Your children will benefit from a relaxing session of thermotherapy as they sample the baths, the hot and dry saunas and the relaxation areas. You can also book them in for a 30-minute Swedish massage, especially adapted for youngsters. The thermotherapy circuit is available to children aged 5 and older. (Maximum of two children per adult.)
