A true Eastern Townships natural gem, the Parc National du Mont-Orford is the perfect playground for your winter getaways. Would you like to connect with nature in a breathtaking environment? Then you must try one of these four staple activities during our amazing snow season!

With 15 trails covering more than 50 km of classic tracks and 26 km of skate tracks, the Parc National du Mont-Orford is the ideal place for cross-country skiers, whether they’re beginners or experts! In fact, you can be sure the trails are meticulously maintained on a daily basis! Don’t have skis? No problem! Head to the Le Cerisier Discovery and Service Centre, where you’ll find everything you’ll need. Plus equipment rentals are free for children 17 and under! If you get hooked on the sport, treat yourself to a season pass or a 12-ticket booklet.

Snowshoeing and winter hiking enthusiasts can each enjoy their favourite sport by immersing themselves in the magnificent winter landscape they’ll discover here. The forest trails cover distances ranging from 2.5 km to 16 km for all levels of difficulty. Everyone will find something to their liking, from families with young children to those for whom a 210 m elevation gain is a source of pure delight! You won’t believe how much fun you’ll have when you head out on a simple, yet delightful outing in the snow! There’s even a 3.5 km marked trail specifically designed for this activity! Crampons and snowshoes can also be rented at Le Cerisier, and it’s always free for children 17 and under!

Ah, fat biking, an amazing sport that can be practised all year round! Its popularity is constantly growing, and every year fatbike enthusiasts can’t wait for winter to arrive to get out on the snow-covered trails! At the Parc National du Mont-Orford, adepts of these bikes with their oversized tires can enjoy 25 km of superbly maintained trails, ranging from easy to difficult! Own a fatbike? Treat yourself to an annual membership so you can enjoy the trails throughout the year! Hoping to give it a try? The park rents out great, well-maintained bikes at Le Cerisier (always free for children under 17)! But be warned: you may discover a new passion!

To fully enjoy all the mountain attractions, why not stay a little longer and rent one of the lodging options offered here? For those who’d like to try a rustic stay, choose one of the three available shelters. Heated with propane, they have no running water, electricity or dishware, but can accommodate 6 to 24 people, and mattresses are provided. Looking for something more comfortable? Why not opt for one of the five fully equipped Chalets Nature, which can welcome up to four guests, or one of the EXP chalets, also fully equipped and featuring a fine original design, for an unforgettable couple’s getaway! Whichever option you choose, your base camp will offer you an invigorating and intimate connection with nature. You’ll experience a genuine rejuvenating moment!
Psst! Did you know that access to the ski trails is free for overnight visitors? Simply confirm your booking when you check in, and you’re all set! You’ll receive your tickets as soon as you arrive!
Please visit the Parc National du Mont-Orford website (sepaq.com) to make your purchases online! Daily access is available 30 days in advance, and ski passes are available online 4 days in advance. You can also download the Sépaq Neige app to get daily updates on trail conditions.
