WHAT TO DO THIS WEEKEND - AN IRRESTIBLE GOURMET HIKE!

Summer may be drawing to a close, but there are still many reasons to take a trip around Val-Saint-François. One of those reasons? How about an out of the ordinary gourmet hike?

An unforgettable experience, combining gastronomic treats with the great outdoors

The Randonnée gourmande du Val-Saint-François, now in its third year, is being held on Sunday, September 16. This unique event is a 10-kilometre guided walk between several Kingsbury municipalities and the Melbourne Township Farmers’ market.

Hikers will pass through picturesque, diverse landscapes and along the way, tempt their taste buds at four gourmet stopovers, manned by producers who offer tastings – sweet treats, beverages, wines, cheeses and other gourmet dellghts. For more information and to sign up for the event, visit the Tourisme Val-Saint-François website.

Registration costs $40 for adults and $30 for those aged 12-17. The fee includes the guided hike, tastings and a good lunch on arrival at the Farmers’ Market. It also includes the cost of parking and a shuttle bus. For an unforgettable gourmet experience in the great outdoors, head for Val-Saint-François this weekend!

Donkeys, a museum, a woollen mill (and lots more…..)

It’s always a lovely experience to pet the donkeys at the Asinerie Les ânes en culottes. Situated in Ste-Anne-de-la-Rochelle, the donkey farm also sells products whose ingredients include donkey milk – said to have many health benefits. Available at the farm boutique.

If you’re in the area, you absolutely must check out the Museum of Ingenuity J. Armand Bombardier! This is a family-oriented place that appeals to people of all ages. On September 29, the museum, as part of the Journées de la culture (“Days of Culture”) will also be offering a range of special activities aimed at visitors aged from five years to 90!

A few Sundays remain to enjoy brunch at [Ulverton’s Woollen Mill](http:// https://www.moulin.ca/ ). Keep an eye on the website for details about the Festilaine event, which will be held in October.
