What to do this weekend – October 19-21

We’ve got some very different ideas for an outing this weekend and we’re sure you’ll find something that appeals especially to you!

The zoo by night

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, you can visit the Granby Zoo in the evening (7pm-10pm) during Noctambule, a one-of-a-kind experience. At night, the Zoo undergoes a transformation with sound and light effects, imagery and live entertainment – pure magic! In the dark, many animals become very active and even the dinosaurs seem more scary than usual…

Take a look at Noctambule.

Sherbrooke CX : Cyclocross at its best!

Even you aren’t taking part in the bike races, you can watch the participants pedal furiously around the course in Sherbrooke’s Jacques Cartier Park. The CX races take place this Saturday and Sunday. In addition to watching the races, visitors can sample a North-East IPA brewed especially for the event, try out an electric bike and nibble something from one of the on-site food trucks. And while you’re in the area, why not explore the many attractions of Sherbrooke itself?

A cultural potpourri for the fall

We’ve got a list of 11 not-to-be-missed cultural outings for the fall – theatre, literature, music, dance, the visual arts… the list goes on. It’s a veritable potpourri of events and attractions with a cultural bent, all over the region.

The monsters in Mrs. Pissenlit’s garden

Parents always appreciate when they can take their kids to a show designed especially for small fry! One such event is a show for 4 to 12-year olds which is being staged on Sunday morning (10:30am) at the Saint John Cultural Centre in Bromont. It features Mrs. Pissenlit (Mrs. Dandelion) who is scared about the fearsome ‘thing’ in her garden……
