What to do this week-end - March 9 & 10

Published on Mar 6, 2019

On offer this weekend are a cultural event, gourmet food in Sutton, a creative project in a museum, an outing to Granby and lots of new changes at Owl’s Head ski centre.

Visit a vernissage and sample gourmet treats in Sutton

This Sunday, the Arts Sutton gallery is hosting the opening of Ouvrir le Feu, a mixed media show by Isabelle Lapierre (2pm-4pm). The artist will be on site to discuss her work with visitors. While you’re in Sutton, drop by Matis Traiteur where you can sample mouthwatering pastries and other delicious specialties such as duck pie and mushrooms in puff pastry.

Construct a ‘city’ – made out of cardboard!

During the spring break, throughout the week, the Museum of Ingenuity J. Armand Bombardier is inviting visitors to help construct a city out of cardboard! With scissors, cardboard and sticky tape, you can let your imagination roam. A house ? A tree ? A car ? You can come up with anything you like, to add to the city as it grows…..

Until March 11 | Activity included in the museum entrance fee.

Check out the revamped Owl’s Head

Owl’s Head has had a makeover this year and if you haven’t yet checked out the ski centre, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. Read Simon Diotte’s account of his visit, which will give you some idea of what has been done, then go and experience the changes for yourself !
