Danville

Pretty Danville

In 1902, a newspaper described Danville as one of the most beautiful towns in Quebec. More recently, the prestigious La Presse stated that Danville was “one of the destinations in the Eastern Townships that was well worth a visit”.

Magnificent Danville

Village Tour

Start your tour by stopping at the Tourist Information Office. You will have a warm welcome and you will find everything you need to make the most of your visit. Good to know : the building that houses the Tourist Information Office also houses the Regional Cycling Center, including a bicycle repair and rental workshop!

Follow in the footsteps of history

Visitors quickly latch on to the fact that the village has four distinct corners, hence the reason that people often refer to the heart of downtown as “the Square”. Crossing the Square gives you a feeling that time has stood still. Take a moment to stop in front of the horloge du Carré - a magnificent clock that was restarted in 1995. You can also explore the various heritage discovery circuits at your own pace.

Appreciate the talented, creative artists

At Galerie G de BR and Galerie Perkins, you will find the works of many creators to fuel your discoveries. Good to know, the Danville arts symposium, organized each year in September, is also a great way to see local talent.

A taste of Danville

Get a taste of Danville (in both senses of the word!) at the Mante du Carré, a café de village, or the farmers’ market, open every Saturday throughout the year. Another food place well worth a visit is the Binnerie du Carré.

Étang Burbank

Accessible via rue Prince Albert, the Étang Burbank (Burbank Pond) is a unique enclave where flora and fauna flourish amid an enchanting natural setting. Be sure to visit in October, during the Migratory Bird Festival...It's simply magical. See a preview here!
