Take your pick: adrenaline packed or slow and contemplative?
With the invention of the Snow mobile by Joseph-Armand Bombardier, a true son of the town of Valcourt, the municipality experienced an enormous boom! The famous genius’s family moved here around 1814 and in 1942 a factory started building this vehicle which would transform our winter means of transportation and leisure activities.
An Important Exhibition
People come from everywhere to visit the impressive exhibition at the Musée de l’ingéniosité J. Armand Bombardier and Bombardier Produits Récréatifs’ ultramodern plant. For the last forty years or so, the Centre culturel Yvonne L. Bombardier offers an avant-garde visual arts exhibition program. Golf lovers head to Valcourt every summer and in February, the best snowmobile racers of North America converge here for the Grand Prix Ski-Doo de Valcourt.
