Cookshire-Eaton

Cookshire-Eaton, the largest municipality in the Haut-Saint-François MRC, features scenic routes and several village cores, such as Eaton Corner, one of the oldest villages in the Eastern Townships. The municipality drew its name from Captain Jack Cook, the first settler to acquire land here in 1795. Architectural gems remain and still reflect the significant economic boom that this area experienced. Other must-see sites are the Parc des Braves and its interpretation panels, the Maison de la culture John-Henry Pope, the Eaton Corner Museum, and the John Cook and McDermott covered bridges.

Did you know that Cookshire-Eaton is one of the Townships “Coeurs villageois”?
