To quickly help you find all the information you need to know, here are a few answers and links to different information sources.

What is the situation in the Eastern Townships?

Since December 31 2021, new measures have been taken to reduce the augmentation of Covid 19 cases in the province. For example:

  • Interior amusement centres, movie theaters, performance halls and bars will be closed for an inderterminate period.
  • Restaurants's dining room are closed but it's still possible to order meals to go in a large majority of them.
  • Spas will close, but remain open for personal care.

You will find here the overview of those measures and more information about the situation on the government website.

What are some of the terms and conditions concerning the Vaccination Passport?

The vaccination passport, in force as of September 1, 2021, gives you access to places and activities that will not be accessible to those who don’t have this document.

For more information concerning the vaccination passport, visit the Québec Government website. You’ll find a great deal of information, including the following:

—An exhaustive list of the places and activities covered by the passport;

—The mention of an adaptation period from September 1 to 15, during which the vaccination passport will be deployed, but no penalties will be applied;

—Instructions for people travelling through Québec;

—etc.

I’m from Ontario (or another province in Canada). Can I visit Québec, including the Eastern Townships? And if I am from United States?

Still today, absolutely. But there are some measures to be respected. Here, you will find all the information you need to travel safely.

What are the Eastern Townships’ territorial limits?

Some of the Eastern Townships’ bordering regions aren’t all on the same alert level. Many among you have been wondering whether certain cities and towns are truly part of the Townships.

Although some cities—Granby, for example—are part of the Montérégie’s administrative region, in health matters, they’re under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Townships.

To help you find the information you’re looking for, here’s a map of the region.
