What is the situation in the Eastern Townships?

Since Febuary 14th 2022, and even before for certains aspects, many sanitary measures have been reviewed and softened. For example:

  • Ten persons or the occupants of three residences can go to the restaurant together.
  • Spas are now reopened at 50% of their capacity.
  • Cinemas and theaters are opened, wih a determined capacity.
  • Outdoor events can welcome up 5000 persons.

What are some of the terms and conditions concerning the Vaccination Passport?

The vaccination passport, in force as of September 1, 2021, gives you access to places and activities that will not be accessible to those who don’t have this document.

For more information concerning the vaccination passport, visit the Québec Government website. You’ll find a great deal of information, including the following:

—An exhaustive list of the places and activities covered by the passport;

—The mention of an adaptation period from September 1 to 15, during which the vaccination passport will be deployed, but no penalties will be applied;

—Instructions for people travelling through Québec;

—etc.

I’m from Ontario (or another province in Canada). Can I visit Québec, including the Eastern Townships? And if I am from United States?

What are the Eastern Townships’ territorial limits?

Some of the Eastern Townships’ bordering regions aren’t all on the same alert level. Many among you have been wondering whether certain cities and towns are truly part of the Townships.

Although some cities—Granby, for example—are part of the Montérégie’s administrative region, in health matters, they’re under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Townships.
