Even though the current situation has been going on for some time now, it’s still subject to last-minute changes, new measures and alternating constraints and allowances.

What are some of the terms and conditions concerning the Vaccination Passport?

The vaccination passport, in force as of September 1, 2021, gives you access to places and activities that will not be accessible to those who don’t have this document.

For example:

  • bars and restaurants,
  • cinemas,
  • outdoor festivals with more than 50 people,
  • outdoor music and comedy performances,
  • etc.

However, for more information concerning the vaccination passport, visit the Québec Government website. You’ll find a great deal of information, including the following:

—An exhaustive list of the places and activities covered by the passport;

—The mention of an adaptation period from September 1 to 15, during which the vaccination passport will be deployed, but no penalties will be applied;

—Instructions for people travelling through Québec;


What is the situation in the Eastern Townships?

By Monday June 28th, most of the regions went back on the green level, including the Eastern Townships.

Regarding this, certains conditions will be reviewed. For example:

  • Travel between regions and cities is possible.

  • Maximum 10 people or 3 private residences can share the same table.

  • As of June 28, the outdoor terraces will be able to accommodate a maximum of 20 people per table.

  • Etc.

What are the Eastern Townships’ territorial limits?

Some of the Eastern Townships’ bordering regions aren’t all on the same alert level. Many among you have been wondering whether certain cities and towns are truly part of the Townships.

Although some cities—Granby, for example—are part of the Montérégie’s administrative region, in health matters, they’re under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Townships.

I’m from Ontario (or another province in Canada). Can I visit Québec, including the Eastern Townships?

Yes, you can! For the time being, no matter which province you come from, you can travel to Québec and the Townships without any problem. However, as the situation remains unstable, we invite you to consult the government website for the latest information.

I am a permanent resident of the United States, am I allowed to visit you?

As from Monday August 9th, residents from the US will be allowed to visit Canada under certains conditions:

  • Having been vaccinated with two doses on a vaccin approuved by Santé Canada (Moderna, AstraZeneca, Pfize-BioNTech et Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).
  • Have been vaccinated at least 14 days before travelling in Canada.
  • Present a negative test of Covid dated 72 hours at most.
  • Children under 12 not vaccinated and traveling with their family will be allowed in Canada.
