12 Hiking Outings in the Eastern Townships

This weekend you can take a walk with your dog in the mountains, explore Cowansville, discover some great stores for Christmas shopping and sample some local food and beer pairings.
This is the last weekend for a chance to sample Randonnée avec mon chien (Hike with my dog) – a pilot project at Mont Ham that allows pet owners and their four-legged friends to enjoy an energizing walk in the fresh air! Bring your crampons and a leash for your pooch and climb to the summit where you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view over the surounding countryside. If you’re looking for other places where you can walk your dog on a leash, you’ll find them here.
From Friday, December 14 to Monday, December 17 at Mont Ham Regional Park
There’s an interesting exhibition - LUMIÈRES – currently showing at the Bruck Museum in Cowansville. It brings together four local artists whose paintings illustrate the effect of light on form and colour. This Saturday, from noon to 4pm, the artists will be on hand to chat to visitors about their work. While you’re in the area, take the opportunity to explore this city of 14 bridges. Drop by the Café de village and La Mie Bretonne, an artisanal bakery.
The LUMIÈRES exhibition runs until December 21. Thursday-Saturday, from noon to 4pm. Musée Bruck in Cowansville
