Take your pick: adrenaline packed or slow and contemplative?
My sweet adventure is already well underway, and this time I wanted to find a dessert even more out of the ordinary. After a bit of research, my curiosity was piqued by the vegan desserts of Folle Théière, restaurant and tearoom. So, for my third sweet destination, I drove to Sherbrooke, the Queen city of the Eastern Townships.
Folle Théière established itself on King West in Sherbrooke almost five years ago. Besides being a tearoom, they also offer vegan meals and desserts. What’s so special about their desserts? They’re raw! And all the ingredients they use are organic and raw as well, so all the food nutrients are well preserved.
I really had a good time here. The place is well decorated and it has a friendly and welcoming ambiance where I was able to savor my newest favourite dessert!
One dessert stood out from the very diversified selection offered here and I had to try it! It’s a lime pie which has already gained quite a reputation with the restaurant clientele. Its ingredients: A lime mousse on a nut-based crust and sprinkled with coconut shavings! A light refreshing dessert. To accompany this taste discovery, they suggest a black or oolong tea; A truly delicious duo!
Take advantage of your trip to Sherbrooke to admire the Circuit art et mosaïques all around the Lac des Nations; you’ll find it at only a seven-minute walk from the tearoom.
