Take a Walk at the Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises

Do you know the Marais de la Rivière aux Cerises (Cherry River marsh), in Magog? There’s nothing more enchanting than to visit this site as the sun is setting, with the last rays of the sun streaming through the clouds. Inside this 1.5 sq. kilometre domain, located between Magog and Mount Orford, you’ll discover several forest trails that will take you through the marsh and the bog, where you’ll encounter quite a few feathered friends. You’ll be amazed by this delightful winter outing!

Have a Meal at Bistro Les 3 Grâces

After your walk, you might be quite hungry. Head out to Eastman, to the very friendly café de village, Les 3 Grâces. Club sandwiches made with duck meat, salmon tartare, delicious salads … you’re sure to have a great meal here!

Spend the Night at Le Vertendre

It’s time! You’re now about to discover the eco-loft you reserved for two nights. Le Vertendre, in Eastman, stands out with its original shelters and stunning architecture. Of course, we’re talking about their Zooboxes, of which some can welcome up to six guests. Ceiling suspended beds, wheel or cycle produced power, a ladder and a firefighter pole, plus a climbing wall! You’ll enjoy all this and much more!

Ride a Fat Bike in Mont-Orford National Park

It’s THE day for your initiation to fat biking! At a short distance from Le Vertendre, the Parc national du Mont-Orford is the perfect place to try this impressive winter bicycle. You must first go to the Centre de découverte and the Le Cerisier service centre. Here, you’ll rent your ride, and then, just head out on the Sittelle loop which is about 3.5 kilometres long. You’ll be able to safely introduce yourself to this sport as you pedal your way on a beautiful, well-groomed, wooded trail

Fill Up on Energy

After spending the morning learning the sport, how about going for a beer (or two!) and eating an amazing cheese fondue lunch? The microbrewery La Memphré, in Magog, is the perfect place for you! A true sports enthusiasts’ hub, loved by tourists and locals as well, the popular micro will charm your taste buds with its gourmet options and remarkable artisanal beer.

Head to the Pointe Merry

OK, time to get moving again! As you leave La Memphré, just cross the street and head to the Pointe Merry, where you’ll enjoy a 5.5-kilometre walk along Lake Memphremagog. The view looking out towards the mountains is simply breathtaking!

Discover the Maison Merry

When you come back to your starting point, you must stop by the Maison Merry, open to the public since the summer of 2018. As you visit this citizens’ remembrance site, inside Magog’s oldest home, you’ll learn a lot about the history of the city and the region, the First Nations and the Americans who settled here, and still so much more.

Try Snowboarding

Now that you’re well rested, it’s time to challenge yourself with another winter sport: snowboarding. Bromont, montagne d’expérience offers initiation packages including a lesson, the rental cost for your equipment and your lift ticket; the package is offered in a private or group formula or yet again, as a family. You’ll start your lesson inside a specially designated learning zone where instructors will teach you the basic techniques to initiate yourself in a fun way to this popular glide sport. Designed for learners of all ages, these lessons will become a truly memorable first experience for you.

Offer Yourself a Gourmet and Vegetarian Dinner

After all this exercise, you’ll surely want to eat. How about savouring a really good, healthy gourmet meal? The restaurant Gaïa, in the heart of Vieux-Bromont, more precisely right on Shefford Street, proposes an entirely vegan, absolutely delicious menu. Soups, salads, bowls, sandwiches, nachos, quesadillas… You’re sure to find something to satisfy your tastes!

Enjoy Old-Bromont

To end this great weekend on a perfect note, why not take a stroll down Shefford Street? It’s quite charming and you’ll discover a panoply of small businesses, like La Belle Vieillerie, La Maison Oléa, L’Échoppe de la montagne, offering all kinds of delightful treasures. And just before you leave, if you have a sweet tooth, stop by the Musée du chocolat for a divine cup of hot chocolate!
