Take some time off to relax at a spa, surprise her with a product crafted by a local artisan, offer her some mouth-watering chocolates….Any one of these are sure to make her very happy on her special day!

Head for the Townships

Organizing a spring outing around our region, is another great way to celebrate Mother’s Day! Visit an orchard in full bloom, go in search of covered bridges, revel in the panoramic views over our magnificent landscapes or wander around a couple of our picturesque villages. Four great getaways, right here.

Sample the delicious ciders made in Quebec

The 6th edition of the Semaine du cidre du Québec, a 10-day celebration of local and regional ciders, runs from May 5-15. Cider makers, retailers, bars and restaurants will be showcasing this delicious apple-based drink at a number of venues and events. One example is a guided tour and tasting with a sommelier at Cidrerie Milton. Another is a Mother’s Day dinner at Maison Boire in Granby (May 8). This establishment is offering a five-course menu paired with apples. Bon appetit!
